America in Crisis

The below letter was written by me and sent to several Government officials. I am saddened to say that they are to busy to give a proper response.

In light of recent events and the actions that our Government has taken it seems that it is no longer the government for the people. It seems the Government is only looking after themselves and the rich.

 

What is the salary of an elected official after they are out of office? Where does that salary come from? Who decided on that salary? What concerns do they have about loosing the office that they hold?

 

What was the over all desire of the people on the recent bail out of Wall Street, GM and Chrysler? We did not want the bail out. It was their decision to let their companies fail. Why should we help them? Do they help the families that have lost their jobs when the factories closed and moved over seas? No they didn’t, they came in and kicked them out of their homes. Who helped the people who have lost money in the stock market? No one!  Is the Government going to give us all money to bail us out? I’ll answer that for you, no they won’t. Perhaps the people shouldn’t pay taxes anymore. What will be used to pay the rich then?

 

It seems that Government is getting to large and powerful with their hands in way to much. The Government is on its way to being closely related to Russia and old Germany. The Government is on its way to making the once most powerful nation in the World a 3^rd world nation. Is that what it thinks the American people want? What will be left of America for our children?

 

The Government is telling us that the PLEDGE OF ALEGENCE is bad to say because it has the word GOD in it. Isn’t the PLEDGE OF ALEGENCE a part of America? Isn’t GOD a part of America? This is the land of opportunity and freedom. Yet we have to vote that English is the national language. We are too concerned about hurting someone beliefs. They can have their beliefs but don’t make us loose ours.

 

Why are we letting people stay here that are breaking the law? If they are not here legally there is only one solution, KICK THEM OUT. Let other nations know we will not stand for it any longer. If an American citizen breaks the law what happens to them? We go to jail. All need to OBEY the law. 

 

What will it take for the Government to actually listen to the American people? It is said that if people do not learn history they are doomed to repeat it. Do any of the World Wars ring a bell? How about something a little closer to home? Do you remember the Civil War or the Boston Tea Party?
