NAFTA (THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!!)

Has anyone really wondered how NAFTA works and how good it really is for us? I think the only people it benefits is everyone else. Check out the links below that shows China getting a super highway into the United States. I think soon China will own the United States. You know I don’t remember ANY of our elected officials asking if this was OK with us.

This first and second ones are a must read!!!!!!

The North American Union

There has been talk about America, Canada and Mexico becoming one Union like that of Europe. The American and Canadian dollar along with the Mexican peso would be phased out and be replaced with the Amero. There would be no need for any more immigration between the three countries because the borders would be open. That sounds like the end of America to me. Some people in the Government say that this is not going to happen. If there is talk about this will the American public have a VOTE on it?

Please check out the following links and decide for yourself what the faite of our nation is.

Superpowers: America vs. ancient Rome

I can not take credit for the below addition. I did copy this from  www.worldnetdaily.com. The article was written by Jerome Corsi. I have read else where that the comparison between America and Rome is close. Where are the Romans now? Perhaps our Government should take notice to this as well.

The ancient Romans were the only superpower of the world in their time, and today America is the preeminent world power. The ancient Romans also dominated commerce, as do we.

The comparison is a lofty thought. Should we use our power as we please? Invade countries at will? Confiscate their resources to suit our needs? Nationalize their oil to fuel our cars, without asking permission or begging forgiveness?

No. We must exercise our power responsibly, with appropriate restraint. Remember, civilization once before advanced to the point where ancient Rome had running water, yet we fell back – to the point where even ancient Rome in all its power and glory fell back into the depth and confusion of the Dark Ages. We, too, regardless how far we think we have advanced, could also fall back into darkness once again.

Imagine any major U.S. city without electricity for a prolonged period of time and you will quickly see a crisis beginning to emerge after as short a period of time as 48 hours. No American city is ready for the consequences of a suitcase nuclear bomb exploded within their metropolis.

How will we avoid the downfall that ancient Rome suffered?

The ancient Romans conquered in order to colonize. Make no mistake about it – in Christ’s time, Pontius Pilate was in Israel to govern a conquered land for the benefit of Romans back home. Those living in Israel were not citizens of Rome, nor did they share in the rights afforded to those who were Roman citizens. Ancient Rome’s interest was one-sided – to subdue internal unrest in conquered territories and to engage in commerce with the colonies designed to benefit primarily Rome itself.

The United States has always fought foreign wars with a different purpose in mind – to defend the national interests of the United States. Americans do not intend to establish colonies. This is why the goals of holding elections in Afghanistan and Iraq is so important. Our goal is and must be to establish independent regimes in these countries and leave.

American foreign policy can be reduced to two simple principles:

  1. The American people do not want to be blown up, and
  2. Anything that prevents the American people from being blown up is OK.

Fighting foreign wars for objectives other than these has always been problematic for Americans.

This was the rub on the Iraq debate – the American people believe fundamentally that Saddam Hussein was a threat to us at home. Forget that we didn’t find weapons of mass destruction. Saddam Hussein had given the world every reason to believe WMDs were there, and that was enough for the American people to feel threatened.

Ancient Romans may have thought differently. Does Iraq have oil we need? Then go conquer Iraq and confiscate the oil, the ancient Romans would have argued. When the radical left accused President Bush of having this as his secret agenda, the American public didn’t buy it. American presidents have never been able to sell to the American people wars of foreign conquest for the sole reason of the conquest itself. Why bother fighting the war, most American would reason, unless we are threatened at home? Even then, the decision to fight the war is always a hard sell.

Another difference is that Americans believe in limited government, the ancient Romans did not. Our founding fathers had a profound distrust of any national government that was too strong. Hence we have a balance of powers between the executive, legislative and executive. No branch of government should ever get so powerful as to proclaim itself divine or assume dictatorial powers, as ancient Roman emperors often did. American presidents, even presidents with expensive libraries commemorating their time in office, are comfortably considered far from being gods.

Moreover, though we separate church and state – as the ancient Romans did not – God still has an important place in the American republic. Separation of church and state has never meant that God needs to be wiped clean from our public consciousness. “In God We Trust,” is stamped on our coins, despite what the American Civil Liberties Union might insist. As long as God remains in the American public and as long as we do not adopt a state religion, Americans are free to believe as they choose. Americans embrace religious differences without requiring that God be eliminated from our public buildings, our national documents, our schools and our hearts.

Yes, we may well be the ancient Romans of the modern world, but with a difference. The United States of America remains, as Abraham Lincoln expressed, mankind’s last, best experiment with freedom in a nation where all men are considered equal, each endowed with God-bestowed inalienable rights. We have massive power, yet Americans understand restraint and respect for others. We appreciate freedom and we wish freedom to be enjoyed around the world, yet we do not demand that others subject themselves to us as conquering heroes.

These differences are important, especially if we are resolved to celebrate in 2076 yet another 100 years of our cherished liberties.

George Santayana wrote “Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Bill HR 40

Bill HR 40 is a bill to look at Commission to Study Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act. It is to “To acknowledge the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619 and 1865 and to establish a commission to examine the institution of slavery, subsequently de jure and de facto racial and economic discrimination against African-Americans, and the impact of these forces on living African-Americans, to make recommendations to the Congress on appropriate remedies, and for other purposes.” This Bill is sponsored by Rep. John Conyers [D-MI].

Now let’s look at this a little. It states the United States 13 American colonies. Does this bill mean that only those 13 colonies are going to be held responsible? Why isn’t there anything in the Bill to look at the economic discrimination against the American Indians? Will the Bill have provisions put in that if it passes all minority scholarships be eliminated including the African-American Scholarship Fund? After all there is no fund set up for any other race. Will provisions be put in to eliminate the section on applications that ask what race a person is? Will there be provisions to stop forcing companies to hire or promote on the color of ones skin? Will there be provisions to look at the countless lives lost of the whites that fought to free the slaves?

The only true way to stop racism is for both sides to stop using it as a means to further ones career or for a better life. Racism is like a swinging door, it goes both ways.

Our New Government

Well our new President has taken office. Now let me say that I am that America has seen past the color barriers and elected it’s first African-American President.

One of the promises President Obama said was Lobbyists had no place in his cabinet. Our new President has already went against his promise and put a Lobbyist on his cabinet. What other promises will he break?

Our President has decided that the best person to be the next Treasury secretary is Timothy F. Geithner. How can the Government put a guy in charge that felt it was OK not to pay his taxes? Can the rest of the United States not pay it’s taxes and have the IRS wave it?

The first bank bailout was pushed through and left many questions unanswered. How did that work out for the average American? Now President Obama wants to do the same with another “stimulus package”. What questions will be unanswered with the next one? Shouldn’t the Government take a little more time decided on a “stimulus package” that is going to drive us further in debt? Can they look their kids and grandchildren in the eyes and say, yes this “stimulus package” will help this time?

America in Crisis

The below letter was written by me and sent to several Government officials. I am saddened to say that they are to busy to give a proper response.

In light of recent events and the actions that our Government has taken it seems that it is no longer the government for the people. It seems the Government is only looking after themselves and the rich.

What is the salary of an elected official after they are out of office? Where does that salary come from? Who decided on that salary? What concerns do they have about loosing the office that they hold?

What was the over all desire of the people on the recent bail out of Wall Street, GM and Chrysler? We did not want the bail out. It was their decision to let their companies fail. Why should we help them? Do they help the families that have lost their jobs when the factories closed and moved over seas? No they didn’t, they came in and kicked them out of their homes. Who helped the people who have lost money in the stock market? No one!  Is the Government going to give us all money to bail us out? I’ll answer that for you, no they won’t. Perhaps the people shouldn’t pay taxes anymore. What will be used to pay the rich then?

It seems that Government is getting to large and powerful with their hands in way to much. The Government is on its way to being closely related to Russia and old Germany. The Government is on its way to making the once most powerful nation in the World a 3rd world nation. Is that what it thinks the American people want? What will be left of America for our children?

The Government is telling us that the PLEDGE OF ALEGENCE is bad to say because it has the word GOD in it. Isn’t the PLEDGE OF ALEGENCE a part of America? Isn’t GOD a part of America? This is the land of opportunity and freedom. Yet we have to vote that English is the national language. We are too concerned about hurting someone beliefs. They can have their beliefs but don’t make us loose ours.

Why are we letting people stay here that are breaking the law? If they are not here legally there is only one solution, KICK THEM OUT. Let other nations know we will not stand for it any longer. If an American citizen breaks the law what happens to them? We go to jail. All need to OBEY the law.

What will it take for the Government to actually listen to the American people? It is said that if people do not learn history they are doomed to repeat it. Do any of the World Wars ring a bell? How about something a little closer to home? Do you remember the Civil War or the Boston Tea Party?

Signed,

A truly concerned AMERICAN citizen

Government Change????

We are being told that if we dislike our Government then all we need to do contact our representatives and express our concerns. Well I have sent emails to mine and others and all that is received is a prewritten email on the chosen topic. If our emails aren’t actually read and responded to then why even send any in?

How has our Government forgotten the goal of America? They are only focussed on one goal and that is there own. They only want to see how much money they can obtain to put in their own pockets by letting the American public to pay everything for them.

The only voice they hear are the voices of the Lobbyists. They have a deaf ear to the American public.
